About

Hi, I’m Sharla Fanous—memoir coach, writer, and believer in the healing power of storytelling.

I help everyday people write honest, heartfelt memoirs that reflect who they are and the lives they’ve lived—without needing a fancy literary degree, a publishing deal, or a picture-perfect past.

I wrote my own memoir during a season of deep personal transition. I wasn’t a trained author. I didn’t know if I was “qualified” to tell my story. But I wrote it anyway. And that decision changed everything.

Now, I help others do the same.

Whether you’ve carried a story inside you for years or just recently felt the tug to write, I’ll meet you where you are. Through compassionate coaching, thoughtful guidance, and a practical yet gentle approach, I’ll help you turn your memories into meaning, one page at a time.

Because your story deserves to be told.

And you’re the only one who can tell it.

A book titled "Where I Belong" by Sharla Fanous features a faded photograph of a woman and a young girl standing on a sunny outdoor balcony with trees in the background. The woman is holding the girl's hand, and there is a caption "My journey from little girl lost to found" below the title.
